CerPoTech provides high quality
advanced ceramic oxide powders
for a variety of applications.
CerPoTech uses spray pyrolysis for the fabrication of high quality multi component ceramic oxide powders. A wide variety of high purity, chemically homogenous powders of narrow particle size distribution can be produced by this method. With this technology, CerPoTech is able to tailor complex oxides in relative large quantities with high quality, excellent for further processing. We also offer sintering and sintering studies.
By spray pyrolysis aqueous solutions of metal salts are atomized directly into a heated rotating chamber. In the chamber hot zone, water is evaporated and the metal salts decomposed forming metal oxide powder. Heat treatment and milling of as-prepared powder forms primary particles with a narrow particle size (< 100 nm) distribution.
Precursor solution is obtained by dissolving metal salts (nitrates, acetates etc.) in water in stochiometric amounts. In cases of low water-solubility, organic complex agents are used. This gives a large flexibility with regard to composition. We can develop the synthesis route for the desired composition or use receipt supplied by the customer.
Phase purity is always ensured by x-ray analysis. Additional and optional powder characterisation is scanning electron microscopy analysis, BET surface analysis, particle size analysis, thermal analyses such as thermogravimetric analysis and dilatometry.
